Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
- Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Erythritol (or sweetener of choice) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Lettuce leaves (butter or romaine) - 8 leaves
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
- Carrot - 1 small, julienned (optional for garnish)
- Cucumber - 1 small, julienned (optional for garnish)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, erythritol, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green onion to create the marinade.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and caramelized.
- While the beef cooks, prepare the lettuce wraps by rinsing the lettuce leaves and patting them dry.
- Once the beef is ready, assemble the wraps by placing a portion of beef in the center of each lettuce leaf.
- Top with toasted sesame seeds, and if using, add julienned carrots and cucumbers for garnish.
- Fold the lettuce around the filling and enjoy your Keto Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps!
