Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Erythritol or monk fruit sweetener - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cauliflower rice - 200 grams, for serving

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, erythritol, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to create the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for deeper flavor.
  3. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease it with sesame oil.
  4. Remove the beef from the marinade, letting any excess drip off, and cook in the hot pan for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the beef is cooking, prepare the cauliflower rice according to package instructions or sauté it in a separate pan with a little oil for about 5 minutes until tender.
  6. Serve the cooked bulgogi over the cauliflower rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
