Ingredients
- Beef sirloin - 300 grams
- Soy sauce (low-sodium) - 60 ml
- Sesame oil - 15 ml
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Erythritol sweetener - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick, ensuring even cuts for uniform drying.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, red pepper flakes, black pepper, erythritol, and chopped green onions to create the marinade.
- Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 70°C (160°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the marinated beef strips in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they do not overlap.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the beef strips.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the beef jerky dry for about 4-6 hours, checking periodically until the jerky is dry but still slightly pliable.
- Once done, remove the jerky from the oven, let it cool completely, and store it in an airtight container.
