Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce (low-sodium) - 60 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Erythritol sweetener - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips, about 0.5 cm thick, ensuring even cuts for uniform drying.
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, red pepper flakes, black pepper, erythritol, and chopped green onions to create the marinade.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
  4. Preheat your oven to 70°C (160°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Arrange the marinated beef strips in a single layer on the baking sheet, ensuring they do not overlap.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the beef strips.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the oven and let the beef jerky dry for about 4-6 hours, checking periodically until the jerky is dry but still slightly pliable.
  8. Once done, remove the jerky from the oven, let it cool completely, and store it in an airtight container.
