Ingredients

  • Webfoot octopus - 300 grams, cleaned and sliced
  • Korean radish (mu) - 100 grams, julienned
  • Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
  • Zucchini - 100 grams, julienned
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, toasted
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced webfoot octopus to the skillet and stir-fry for approximately 5 minutes until it starts to turn opaque.
  4. Add the julienned radish, carrot, and zucchini to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the sauce.
  6. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried seafood and vegetables, tossing everything together to ensure even coating.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  8. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
