Ingredients

  • Beef (brisket or sirloin) - 100 grams, thinly sliced
  • Firm tofu - 150 grams, cubed
  • Korean radish (mu) - 100 grams, diced
  • Zucchini - 100 grams, sliced
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 50 grams, sliced
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Water - 800 ml

Steps

  1. In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the pot, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the diced Korean radish and cook for another 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, add the gochugaru, soy sauce, and sliced zucchini. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add the cubed tofu and sliced mushrooms to the pot, gently stirring to combine. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then add the chopped green onions before serving.
