- Beef (brisket or sirloin) - 100 grams, thinly sliced
- Firm tofu - 150 grams, cubed
- Korean radish (mu) - 100 grams, diced
- Zucchini - 100 grams, sliced
- Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 50 grams, sliced
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Water - 800 ml
Steps
- In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add the sliced beef to the pot, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Stir in the diced Korean radish and cook for another 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the gochugaru, soy sauce, and sliced zucchini. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the cubed tofu and sliced mushrooms to the pot, gently stirring to combine. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then add the chopped green onions before serving.
