- Fresh white fish (such as cod or halibut) - 300 grams
- Soy sauce (kosher) - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion, chopped - 2 stalks
- Carrot, julienned - 1 small
- Zucchini, julienned - 1 small
- Red bell pepper, sliced - 1/2
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Rice (cooked) - 200 grams
Steps
- Rinse the fish under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and a pinch of black pepper. Add the fish and marinate for 15 minutes.
- While the fish is marinating, prepare the vegetables: julienne the carrot and zucchini, and slice the red bell pepper.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a splash of sesame oil.
- Add the marinated fish to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown.
- Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the chopped green onions and vegetables, sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are slightly tender.
- Serve the cooked fish over a bed of rice, topped with the sautéed vegetables and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds.
