- Carrots - 150 grams, julienned
- Daikon radish - 150 grams, julienned
- Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Water - 150 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
Steps
- In a medium saucepan, combine soy sauce, water, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sugar. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the julienned carrots and daikon radish to the saucepan. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms to the pan and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until they are cooked through.
- Stir in the sesame oil and half of the chopped green onion. Cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with the remaining green onion and toasted sesame seeds.
