Ingredients
- Beef brisket - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Water - 200 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Red chili pepper - 1, sliced (optional)
Steps
- Cut the beef brisket into 2-3 cm pieces and set aside.
- In a medium pot, combine soy sauce, water, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir well.
- Add the beef pieces to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 40-50 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
- Check occasionally, and if the sauce reduces too much, add a bit of water to maintain the liquid.
- Once the beef is tender, remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Serve the jangjorim warm or at room temperature, garnished with chopped green onions and slices of red chili pepper if desired.
