Ingredients

  • Potato - 2 medium (about 300g)
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons (30g)
  • Unsalted butter - 1 tablespoon (14g)
  • Sea salt - 1/2 teaspoon (2g)
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly (about 1-2 mm thick) using a mandoline or knife.
  2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for 10 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat (about 180°C or 350°F).
  4. Carefully add the potato slices in batches to the hot oil, frying until they are golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  5. Remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat, then stir in the honey until well combined.
  7. Drizzle the honey butter mixture over the warm potato chips and toss gently to coat evenly.
  8. Sprinkle sea salt over the chips to taste and serve immediately.
