- Eggs - 4 large
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Water - 120 ml
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and then let them simmer for 10 minutes.
- Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool, then peel them carefully.
- In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce, water, sesame oil, sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to create the braising sauce.
- In a pan over medium heat, pour the braising sauce and add the peeled eggs. Gently roll the eggs in the sauce to coat them evenly.
- Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, occasionally turning the eggs to absorb more flavor.
- Once done, remove the eggs from the pan and sprinkle with chopped green onion and black sesame seeds before serving.
