  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Water - 120 ml
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and then let them simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Once cooked, transfer the eggs to an ice bath to cool, then peel them carefully.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce, water, sesame oil, sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes to create the braising sauce.
  4. In a pan over medium heat, pour the braising sauce and add the peeled eggs. Gently roll the eggs in the sauce to coat them evenly.
  5. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, occasionally turning the eggs to absorb more flavor.
  6. Once done, remove the eggs from the pan and sprinkle with chopped green onion and black sesame seeds before serving.
