  • Milk - 150 ml
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Butter - 30 grams (melted)
  • Green onions - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
  • Cheddar cheese - 30 grams (grated)
  • Cooked bacon - 30 grams (chopped, optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a muffin tin or individual ramekins.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter, mixing until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped green onions, grated cheddar cheese, and chopped bacon (if using).
  6. Divide the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin or ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
