- Milk - 150 ml
- Eggs - 2 large
- Butter - 30 grams (melted)
- Green onions - 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
- Cheddar cheese - 30 grams (grated)
- Cooked bacon - 30 grams (chopped, optional)
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a muffin tin or individual ramekins.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk and melted butter, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped green onions, grated cheddar cheese, and chopped bacon (if using).
- Divide the batter evenly into the prepared muffin tin or ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
