  • All-purpose flour - 120 grams
  • Sugar - 30 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Milk - 100 ml
  • Eggs - 2 large
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cheddar cheese - 30 grams, grated
  • Green onions - 1 tablespoon, finely chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a muffin tin or silicone mold.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt, and whisk until well mixed.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vegetable oil until fully combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the grated cheddar cheese and chopped green onions.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until the tops are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tin and serve warm.
