- Fresh oysters - 200 grams
- Clams - 200 grams
- Water - 1 liter
- Sea kelp (dashima) - 10 grams
- Garlic cloves - 3, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- In a pot, combine 1 liter of water and the sea kelp, bringing it to a boil. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes to infuse the flavor.
- Remove the sea kelp and add minced garlic and ginger to the broth, simmering for an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the fresh oysters and clams to the pot and cover, cooking for about 5-7 minutes or until the shellfish have opened.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and season with black pepper and salt to taste.
- Add chopped green onion and red pepper flakes (if using) just before serving.
- Serve the soup hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired.
