Ingredients
- Short grain rice - 100g
- Water - 1 liter
- Fresh oysters - 100g
- Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100g
- Squid, cleaned and sliced - 100g
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Rinse the short grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot, stirring it for about 2 minutes to toast it lightly.
- Add 1 liter of water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After 20 minutes, add the oysters, shrimp, and squid to the pot. Continue to simmer for another 10 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.
- Stir in the soy sauce, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
