Ingredients

  • Short grain rice - 100g
  • Water - 1 liter
  • Fresh oysters - 100g
  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined - 100g
  • Squid, cleaned and sliced - 100g
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the short grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  3. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot, stirring it for about 2 minutes to toast it lightly.
  4. Add 1 liter of water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. After 20 minutes, add the oysters, shrimp, and squid to the pot. Continue to simmer for another 10 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.
  6. Stir in the soy sauce, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
