- Squid - 200 grams, cleaned and sliced
- Mussels - 200 grams, cleaned
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 4 tablespoons
- Water - 200 ml
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Red chili pepper - 1, sliced (optional for heat)
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- In a medium pot, combine the soy sauce, water, minced garlic, ginger, sugar, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Once simmering, add the squid and mussels to the pot. Stir to ensure they are coated with the sauce.
- Cover the pot and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the mussels have opened and the squid is tender.
- Remove the lid and add the chopped green onion and sliced red chili pepper (if using). Stir and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the dish just before serving for added flavor.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
