- Fish stock - 500 ml

- Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki) - 100 grams, sliced
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)

Steps
- In a pot, heat the fish stock over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes to the simmering stock.
- Once the broth is fragrant, add the shrimp and squid to the pot and cook for 3-4 minutes until the seafood is cooked through.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and chopped green onions, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Season the soup with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve the Gul Guk hot in bowls with fresh lettuce leaves on the side for wrapping.
