Ingredients

  • Beef brisket - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Water - 1 liter
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 100 grams, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Spinach - 100 grams
  • Cooked rice - 200 grams
  • Egg - 2, beaten
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil and add the beef brisket slices.
  2. Once the beef is cooked (about 10 minutes), remove it from the pot and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the mushrooms, carrot, and chopped green onions to the pot and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the pot, then add the spinach and let it cook for another 3 minutes until wilted.
  6. In a separate pan, scramble the beaten eggs until fully cooked.
  7. Serve the soup over bowls of cooked rice, topped with scrambled eggs and additional green onions if desired.
