Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 400 grams
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 3 tablespoons
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil (for grilling) - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, green onions, red pepper flakes, and lime juice to create the marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a bit of space between each shrimp for even cooking.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
