  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Brown sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. While the grill is heating, prepare the marinade by mixing soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, brown sugar, and rice vinegar in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Wash and slice the bell peppers into thick strips or halves, removing the seeds and stems.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the bell pepper slices with the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  5. Place the marinated bell peppers on the grill, cut side down, and grill for about 4-5 minutes until they have nice grill marks.
  6. Flip the peppers and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
  7. Remove the bell peppers from the grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
