  • Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, thinly sliced
  • Radish - 1 small, thinly sliced

Steps

  1. Begin by rinsing the mackerel fillets under cold running water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. Sprinkle the sea salt evenly over the fillets and let them rest for 5 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili flakes, minced garlic, and half of the chopped green onion to create the dipping sauce.
  4. Slice the mackerel fillets into thin sashimi pieces, about 1 cm thick.
  5. Arrange the sliced mackerel on a serving plate along with the cucumber and radish slices.
  6. Drizzle the remaining sesame oil over the mackerel and garnish with the remaining chopped green onion.
