Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Bell pepper (any color) - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Broccoli florets - 100 grams
  • Green onions - 2, sliced
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add tofu cubes and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli to the skillet, stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  6. Return the cooked tofu to the skillet, pour the sauce over the mixture, and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
