Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Gochujang - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2.5 cm cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create a marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle cornstarch over the marinated tofu and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  6. Fry the tofu cubes in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the tofu bites from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
