Ingredients

  • Large eggs - 4
  • Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 1 tablespoon
  • Scallions - 2, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Water - 60 ml (1/4 cup)
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.
  2. In a frying pan, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat.
  3. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.).
  4. While the eggs are cooking, add water to the gochujang mixture and stir to create a sauce.
  5. Once the eggs are cooked, carefully drizzle the gochujang sauce over them.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped scallions, black sesame seeds, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately with rice or gluten-free toast.
