Ingredients

  • Chicken wings - 500 grams
  • Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
  • Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (sliced) - 2 stalks
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for better flavor.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken wings on the wire rack in a single layer, reserving any leftover marinade.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the wings are crispy and cooked through, turning halfway and brushing with the reserved marinade.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
