Ingredients
- Ground beef - 300 grams
- Gochujang - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Green onion, finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
- Cucumber, sliced - 1 small
- Carrot, julienned - 1 small
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Avocado, sliced - 1 small
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, gochujang, minced garlic, chopped green onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil if needed. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the vegetables. In a small bowl, toss the sliced cucumber and julienned carrot with sesame oil.
- Once the patties are cooked, let them rest for a couple of minutes.
- To assemble, take a large lettuce leaf and place a beef patty in the center. Top with the cucumber and carrot mixture, avocado slices, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Wrap the lettuce leaf around the fillings and enjoy your Gochujang Beef Burger!
