Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams, thinly sliced
  • Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it's well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell pepper and julienning the carrot.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  5. Add the bell pepper and carrot to the skillet, and stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onion and sesame seeds before serving.
