Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Bell pepper (red or yellow) - 1 medium, sliced
- Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, combine the gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger to make the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and toss gently to coat. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the tofu and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, zucchini, and carrot. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the tofu to the skillet with the vegetables, and add any remaining marinade. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onion and sesame seeds, and season with salt to taste.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
