Ingredients
- Green chili peppers - 6 pieces
- Firm tofu - 150 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Water - 50 milliliters
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Spring onions - 1 stalk, chopped
Steps
- Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add the sesame oil and sauté the minced garlic and ginger for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- While the tofu is cooking, prepare the green chili peppers by removing the stems and slicing them in half lengthwise.
- Once the tofu is golden, add the sliced green chili peppers to the skillet and sauté for another 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sugar, and water, then pour this mixture over the tofu and peppers.
- Stir well to coat all ingredients and let it simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
