- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) - 2 tablespoons

- Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
- Cooked brown rice - 1 cup
Steps
- Press the tofu for 10 minutes to remove excess water, then cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
- In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
- Marinate the tofu slices in the gochujang mixture for at least 5 minutes, turning occasionally to coat evenly.
- Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat, then add the marinated tofu slices.
- Cook the tofu for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the tofu from the skillet and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve with a side of cooked brown rice for a complete breakfast.
