- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)
- 2 whole wheat burger buns
- 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 small carrot, julienned
- 2 lettuce leaves
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Steps
- In a bowl, crumble the pressed tofu into small pieces.
- Add soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, gochujang, and cornstarch to the tofu, mixing well until combined.
- Form the mixture into two patties, ensuring they hold together well.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns and toppings.
- Toast the whole wheat burger buns lightly on a separate skillet, if desired.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the tofu patty, cucumber slices, and carrot julienne.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added flavor and garnish, then place the top half of the bun.
