Ingredients
- Short grain rice - 1 cup
- Water - 1 1/4 cups
- Raw blue crab - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green onion - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pickled radish - 100 grams, for serving
Steps
- Rinse the short grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- In a pot, combine the soaked rice and 1 1/4 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, prepare the Ganjang Gejang marinade by mixing soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, green onion, and red chili flakes in a bowl.
- Clean the raw blue crab by removing the shell and gills, then chop the crab into bite-sized pieces.
- Add the crab pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and divide it into two bowls.
- Top each bowl of rice with the marinated crab, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve with pickled radish on the side.
