Ingredients
- Blue crabs - 2 (approximately 500g each)
- Soy sauce - 100 ml
- Water - 100 ml
- Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Red chili pepper - 1, sliced
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Rinse the blue crabs thoroughly under cold water and remove the gills and stomach.
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, water, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sugar, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the cleaned crabs in a large container or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Add the chopped green onions and sliced red chili pepper to the container, mixing gently.
- Seal the container or bag and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, preferably 24 hours for deeper flavor.
- Once marinated, take the crabs out and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
- Serve the Ganjang-gejang with steamed rice and fresh vegetables.
