Ingredients
- Beef short ribs - 500 grams
- Soy sauce (gluten-free) - 60 ml
- Brown sugar - 30 grams
- Garlic, minced - 4 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 120 ml
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, chopped green onions, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the beef short ribs in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the short ribs from the marinade and let excess marinade drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the short ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade, until they are nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the grilled ribs and serve with steamed rice and kimchi for a complete meal.
