Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Carrot - 50 grams, julienned
  • Cucumber - 50 grams, julienned
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce (or coconut aminos for Paleo) - 1 tablespoon
  • Rice vinegar - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 10 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil and sauté the tofu cubes until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, remaining sesame oil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the sautéed tofu, julienned carrot, and cucumber to the bowl, mixing gently to coat everything evenly.
  5. Sprinkle chopped green onion and sesame seeds on top, tossing lightly before serving.
