Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Water - 100 milliliters
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Begin by pressing the firm tofu to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a weight on top for about 10 minutes.
- After pressing, cut the tofu into 1 cm thick slices.
- In a non-stick skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Carefully add the tofu slices to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and water. Pour this mixture over the browned tofu.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the tofu to absorb the flavors.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds over the tofu before serving.
