  • Dotorimuk (acorn jelly) - 150 grams
  • Water - 800 milliliters
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Carrot, julienned - 1 medium
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki), sliced - 100 grams
  • Spinach, fresh - 100 grams
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Chili flakes - to taste (optional)

Steps

  1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil to the boiling water.
  3. Stir in the julienned carrot and sliced mushrooms, cooking for about 5 minutes until they soften.
  4. Cut the dotorimuk into bite-sized pieces and gently add them to the pot.
  5. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  6. Add the fresh spinach and chopped green onion, cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the spinach wilts.
  7. Season with black pepper and chili flakes to taste before removing from heat.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onion if desired.
