Ingredients

  • Acorn flour - 100g
  • Water - 500ml

  • Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
  • Cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine acorn flour and water, whisking until smooth to avoid lumps.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and turns translucent (about 10-15 minutes).
  3. Once thickened, pour the mixture into a rectangular dish and spread evenly. Let it cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  4. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until fully set.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt to create the dressing.
  6. Once the jelly is set, cut it into bite-sized cubes and arrange on a plate.
  7. Drizzle the soy sauce dressing over the jelly and top with chopped green onions, julienned cucumber, and carrot.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
