Ingredients

  • dried bellflower roots - 50 grams
  • water - 1 liter
  • soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • green onion - 1 stalk, finely chopped
  • red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Soak the dried bellflower roots in water for about 10-15 minutes until they soften.
  2. Drain the bellflower roots, then boil them in 1 liter of fresh water for 10 minutes until tender.
  3. Drain the roots again and rinse them under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the boiled bellflower roots with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, sesame seeds, chopped green onion, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Mix everything well and adjust the seasoning with salt to taste.
  6. Let the dish sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
