Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 300 grams
  • Doenjang (Korean fermented soybean paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Green onion (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Cucumber (sliced) - 1/2 medium
  • Avocado (sliced) - 1/2 medium
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, doenjang, minced garlic, chopped green onion, egg, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat a grill or frying pan over medium heat and add sesame oil.
  4. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, prepare the toppings by slicing the tomato, cucumber, and avocado.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. To assemble, place each burger patty on a lettuce leaf and top with tomato, cucumber, and avocado slices.
  8. Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
