Ingredients

  • Chicken thigh, boneless - 300 grams
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic, minced - 3 cloves
  • Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Cabbage, chopped - 100 grams
  • Carrot, julienned - 50 grams
  • Zucchini, sliced - 100 grams
  • Green onion, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Rice cakes (tteok) - 150 grams
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger, and honey. Mix well to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage, julienned carrot, and sliced zucchini to the pan. Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Add the rice cakes to the pan and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the rice cakes to heat through.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
