Ingredients
- Pork shoulder (cubed) - 300 grams
- Soy sauce (halal) - 50 ml
- Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 tablespoon
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
- Water - 200 ml
- Carrot (sliced) - 1 medium
- Potato (cubed) - 1 medium
Steps
- In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cubed pork shoulder to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the soy sauce, gochugaru, honey, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the sliced carrot and cubed potato to the pot. Cover and cook for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the pork and vegetables are tender, uncover and let the sauce reduce for an additional 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
