Ingredients

  • Pork belly - 250 grams
  • Water - 500 ml
  • Coconut aminos - 3 tablespoons
  • Apple cider vinegar - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a pot, combine the water, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  3. Add the pork belly to the pot and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. After 30 minutes, check the pork for tenderness and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top before serving.
