Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix together gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and sugar to create the marinade.
  3. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and let them soak for about 10 minutes, gently tossing to ensure even coating.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated tofu cubes, cooking for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  5. Remove the tofu from the skillet and place it on a serving plate. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
