Ingredients
- Pork ribs - 600 grams
- Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
- Brown sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Gochujang (Korean red chili paste) - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (minced) - 3 cloves
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - for grilling
Steps
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, gochujang, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and half of the chopped green onions to create the marinade.
- Place the pork ribs in a large zip-lock bag or dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the ribs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, basting with the reserved marinade occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
- Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with remaining chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy your Daeji Galbi with steamed rice or kimchi!
