  • Water - 120 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Brown sugar - 10 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 5 grams, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 10 grams, toasted
  • Red pepper flakes (gochugaru) - 5 grams

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the diced Korean radish, soy sauce, water, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer and cover the saucepan.
  3. Cook for about 15 minutes, or until the radish is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the lid and continue to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce and thicken.
  5. Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes.
