Ingredients

  • Crown daisy leaves (chwinamul) - 100 grams
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
  • Red pepper flakes (gochugaru) - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion (finely chopped) - 1 stalk
  • Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Rinse the crown daisy leaves thoroughly under cold water and drain well.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the crown daisy leaves for about 1-2 minutes until they soften.
  3. Immediately transfer the blanched leaves to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and salt to create the dressing.
  5. Add the drained crown daisy leaves to the bowl with the dressing and toss gently to coat evenly.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onion over the top and mix gently once more.
  7. Serve immediately or let it sit for 10 minutes for flavors to meld.
