Ingredients

  • Sweet potato - 100 grams
  • Zucchini - 100 grams
  • Carrot - 50 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Cornstarch - 30 grams
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Peel the sweet potato and carrot, then cut them along with the zucchini into thin, even strips.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, whisking until a smooth batter forms.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot.
  5. Dip the vegetable strips into the batter, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Fry the battered vegetables in batches, turning occasionally until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.
  7. Remove the cooked Chwi-gi from the pan and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
