- Chicken thighs - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Water - 200 ml
- Honey - 1 tablespoon (15 grams)
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
- Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (optional)
Steps
- In a medium pot, combine soy sauce, water, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper. Stir well to mix.
- Add the chicken thighs to the pot, ensuring they are submerged in the sauce. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 30 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through.
- After 30 minutes, remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high. Allow the sauce to reduce for an additional 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
- Stir in the sesame oil and chopped green onions. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
