  • Fresh chives - 100 grams
  • All-purpose flour - 100 grams
  • Cornstarch - 30 grams
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (for dipping)

Steps

  1. Rinse the fresh chives under cold water and chop them into 2-3 cm pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, stirring until you achieve a smooth batter.
  4. Fold the chopped chives into the batter until evenly distributed.
  5. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the skillet, spreading it out evenly to form a pancake.
  7. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.
  8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding more oil as needed.
  9. Once cooked, remove the pancakes from the skillet and let them cool slightly before cutting into wedges.
  10. Serve warm with soy sauce for dipping.
