- Firm tofu - 400 grams
- Korean chili pepper flakes (gochugaru) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, minced - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Vegetable oil - for grilling
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Lettuce leaves - for serving
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
- In a bowl, mix the gochugaru, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat. Lightly grease with vegetable oil.
- Place the marinated tofu cubes on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly charred.
- Once cooked, remove the tofu from the grill and sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot with lettuce leaves for wrapping and enjoy it with steamed rice.
